Relax With Sound – Seminar FAQ
Part 1: Peter Hess Seminars (General)
What are the requirements to practice PHSM?
What if I don't want to be a practitioner?
Explore applications with sound in our Introductory Workshops, or request custom seminars for your interests. Keep in mind that the Level I and Level II sound-massage seminars teach a session structure that can be used with friends and family.
Are there additional benefits to certification?
You'll become part of a globally recognized community of over 15,000 professionals; and clients can trust your training which is based on 30+ years of study. You'll also have access to continuing education and benefits through the US Sound Massage Association (in development).
What are the training seminars like?
Structured and interactive. Because sound-massage is a trust-based method, we use our classroom time to deepen awareness and gentleness. Expect to learn about yourself, and to see the world differently by the end of the course.
How do I host your classes or workshops at my location?
Inquire well in advance of the dates you have in mind, and tell me about your space and any proposed business arrangements.
What equipment will I need to practice sound massage?
Your singing bowl set can be as small or large as you like. Just let us know your budget and we'll help you get started:
Is other training available at RWS?
Yes, a variety of self-care and client-care seminars are available through RWS and Ginger's private practice. Please inquire if you don't see what you're looking for.
I want to teach this method; when can I start?
The teacher program is in development. Take the foundational training of Levels I-IV + Supervision so you can practice your technique and be ahead of the game when the time comes to complete the requirements for authorization in the US.
Are there other Peter Hess Academies?
Yes! There are several Academies in the USA, and many more worldwide. The method is based in Germany, where the highest concentration can be found. Inquire for referrals.
Part 2: Planning for Your Seminar
Where are these seminars located?
Information for your class will be noted in the specific event offer as venue details are confirmed.
When and how frequently do you offer each seminar?
In Maryland, we typically offer the multi-day seminars between late March and early December. Single-day and out-of-town events may be booked at any time.
What are the fees for each seminar?
This information is openly listed on the web page for each seminar, and any adjustments to that standard rate for a specific offer would be listed clearly on the calendar event. Rates are subject to change.
Is lodging included?
The base seminar price assumes lodging and meals are arranged on your own. If we offer an immersive seminar with option or requirement to stay on-site (for example at a retreat venue), details will be noted in the description for those dates.
When should I secure my travel arrangements?
Please wait to book non-refundable travel arrangements until we give you the go-ahead. If you need to know before you receive that verification, please ask directly. Additional details are explained in the registration form.
Should I order my singing bowls in advance?
It's fun to handle and hear the singing bowls before you make a purchase, but the benefit of using Peter Hess products is that we can trust that whatever item is ordered for you will be of excellent sound quality. Here are some points to consider:
